I received an earnest money assignment form, but I cannot find the other party.

Earnest money is reported with both parties listed. The official source holder cannot release the money without the consent of both parties. If you are unable to locate the other party, you must provide a judgement from a small claims court before we continue the asset recovery claims process.

 

What happens if I cannot respond by the 30-day deadline for my asset recovery claim? Will it be denied?

If you are unable to respond within 30 days, your asset recovery claim will be reactivated when the requested documentation is submitted to our office to be submitted to the source holder.
